Today I am going to review an iPad Air case from a company called BoxWave is an industry endorsed, multi award-winning accessories provider for handheld devices like the iPhone, Treo 750, and 8525. From CNBC to Engadget, Handheld Computing Magazine to PC Today, Boxwave accessories have been recognized and featured by industry leaders on many occasions. Established in 2002, BoxWave has become the ultimate source for the most innovative accessories for handheld devices of all categories, including cell phones, PDA’s, smartphones, media players, gaming devices, GPS devices, UMPC’s, Tablet PC’s and more.  BoxWave offers one of the most comprehensive list of devices supported, and this list continues to expand as they update their products daily with the newest and most popular gadgets.

The design of this iPad Air case looks great In the past  I’ve reviewed a few Bamboo themed items like skins and cases for my devices. My first question even before I got this was “Is that real bamboo or just a sticker meant to look like bamboo?” well even now I can’t still tell but I would have to guess it’s real but of course attached with some smelly glue which will make your some stomachs turn when you first get it I but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….

Product Name: Boxwave True Bamboo Minimus iPad Air Case

Buy It Here:  Amazon  Boxwave

Provider: BoxWave

 Price : $19.95

This case’s Bamboo backing which is REAL Bamboo is surrounded by either a Jet Black or Winter White Minimus Case shell. This shell is constructed using hard and rigid plastic and enhanced with Boxwave’s signature Smooth Texture finish

Thanks to this design the case feels great in the hand and your iPad Air doesn’t feel bulky and there is no need to worry about a folio front cover if you just want a simple good looking case to protect your iPad Air There is no built-in stands but of course you could always get a stand from Boxwave or another company I personally like Elago for Aluminum stands been using mine for years since I had my iPad 2.

The case features cut-outs for:

  • Volume Rocker
  • Earphone jack
  • Lock/Rotate Switch
  • Speaker,Lightning Charging Port
  • Camera and Flash

Once the case is installed it has a pretty good drop and bump protection. Like I said before this Bamboo iPad Air case doesn’t feature any front cover protection so I would suggest a Glass or Blue Filter screen protector one of my favorites is from Tech Armor there are others but it seems those are thicker and bit off by a centimeter or two which is a big difference. After you get a screen protector then you can lay your iPad face down on the table just like you might do with a iPhone or into a bag without any worry.

After using this case for a few weeks, It’s been a good case with no problems. One thing that I suggest you get as I already said is a Screen Protector Glass or Blue Filter will work good. The case offers style and protection to your iPad Air Be sure to check out the many other cases for your iPad Air on
