Today I am going to review an active stylus from a company called BoxWave is an industry endorsed, multi award-winning accessories provider for handheld devices like the iPhone, Treo 750, and 8525. From CNBC to Engadget, Handheld Computing Magazine to PC Today, Boxwave accessories have been recognized and featured by industry leaders on many occasions. Established in 2002, BoxWave has become the ultimate source for the most innovative accessories for handheld devices of all categories, including cell phones, PDA’s, smartphones, media players, gaming devices, GPS devices, UMPC’s, Tablet PC’s and more.  BoxWave offers one of the most comprehensive list of devices supported, and this list continues to expand as they update their products daily with the newest and most popular gadgets.

The design of the active stylus looks minimalistic and simple to use though I’ve not seen a lot of these in past years most of my styluses have been thin plastic or the common plastic ends so far I’m liking it from signing documents to just doodling away on my iPad while I wait in a waiting room So how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….

The Review:

The packaging is nothing special just a simple white box very common for Boxwave with a  plastic holding the stylus and then a black micro usb cable to charge the stylus

Let’s start with a first look of the stylus Its made of solid brushed aluminum barrel construction,on one end there is a fabric tip stylus  which you can remove to charge the stylus. There is a built-in battery that provides 12 hours of active use but there is no indicator to know how much battery is left, when I got mine it’s going strong as I write this review and still no need to charge yet. There is no bluetooth or pairing needed with this stylus so that’s great.

Writing with stylus is a whole different experience for me in fact I love it, yes I know you could write with your finger but sometimes my letters don’t come out readable with just my finger doing the writing or I might need special winter gloves if I’m outside. Drawing with this active stylus is very fun and will make a great friend with most drawing apps on your tablet not sure if it will work with some drawing tablets for graphic design.   This active stylus makes life easy the tips are safe for your device

So the stylus doesn’t break the bank but is it even worth it? I would say it still is  if you are looking for yourself or a gift for someone on any holiday like a birthday or christmas who loves their tablet and likes to draw or write this product is perfect
