Today I am going to review a wireless IP camera from a company called Reolink started up in 2007, and ever since then, we’ve been devoted to creating the finest security products for consumers and business owners. Their first product was launched in July, 2007, which received rave reviews from customers who are sensitive to both quality and service. Until now, Reolink has helped hundreds of thousands of people from all round the world. The camera costs about $74.99 USD and comes with Free shipping so that’s all you will pay. So not bad for the price but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….
Product Name: Reolink 4MP 1440P POE Security IP Camera (AMAZON US)
The packaging, is a cardboard box which shows features and specifications of the IP camera on a white sticker label on the side and the front and back of the box the Reolink logo is visible
The camera does have an identifying mark on it which is the Reolink logo This camera is a well-built IP camera to get the job done outside or inside in my opinion…
The camera does come with an Instruction manual in English and all the other hardware needed to mount the camera indoors or out its super simple to set up but make sure you know where other wires are before drilling and be careful while you are on a ladder you could also pop the cd into your computer if you are lucky to still have one But otherwise all you have to do is download the REOLINK app on your phone (android and apple) as the instructions say but there was something I wish this camera had and that’s being wireless capable without being tied down with the network cable as you saw in my video review below
So yes the camera is priced well, but is it even worth it? I would say yes if you want to check up on your front door or maybe your driveway while you are at home not sure how this would work outside of your wifi network. The camera is well built and does a night/day mode where you can also see great at night-time but be warned if you have this camera in a window the glare from the night-light will block your view Also if you are looking for a camera with zoom this camera won’t do that I also wish it had a pan and tilt but looking at Reolink‘s website they do have a camera for pan and tilting. It’s got a really good motion sensor which lets you know when activity is detected but again not sure how you would get this while away from your wifi network
So in all, it’s not bad for an IP camera but if you want to have zoom or a wireless option for your security need then I would look into another Reolink camera.
