So every week I receive enough emails to fill a dump truck if they were printed on paper most of these are newsletters I signed up for years ago or somehow forced into after having business with a company while some of these are great most have just turned into a hassle filling up my mailbox so I can’t find any of the good emails I need to reply to daily well I was emailed by this company that claims to be able to help with this problem I heard about them in the past but never really thought to sign up for this service. In a nutshell Unroll.Me allows users to mass unsubscribe from the email subscriptions they no longer want to receive (or probably just signed up for by accident while making a purchase or entering a contest 5 years ago).

For the subscriptions you want to keep but don’t want cluttering your inbox, we have a daily digest email called the Rollup. I didn’t use the Rollup feature I was mostly interested in the unsubscribe function since some of these emails I get don’t have a proper CAN-SPAM Act link all the emails that I’ve sent out with our blog have obey the act so I just don’t know why those companies intend to hide or keep people subscribed Anyways the one  worry I had would be privacy and security and why shouldn’t I be worried it’s my email but Unroll.me assures me that they take privacy and security extremely seriously. They prefer not to have access to your login information So when possible Unroll.me uses authentication services, such as Gmail’s OAuth, to get access to its users data.

However if authentication is not available in another form, Unroll.me takes exceptional care to protect the user login information it does have access to. In short, if you have a Gmail or Outlook.com account, they will never have access to your login info but If you have a Yahoo, AOL, or iCloud account, they do but are hoping these services release a public version of OAuth soon.

If you ever want to cancel it’s very easy just cancel the Oauth or if you use one of the other services just change your password then make sure you head over to your settings page to drop your service Also on the setting page if you weren’t deleting your service you can also choose what time and format you want to get your roll up if you have picked out which emails you want to receive in bulk/digest form On their blog they list the top companies they have unsubscribed users from I thought I would also share this link with you here

Signing up is free and easy – just log in with your email address at www.unroll.me.
