The Review:
Recently I wanted to finally use Time Machine on my Macbook so I grabbed my HD and my Masscool enclosure which I never got around to using before this install the drive and hooked up the masscool product and to my surprise to make the story short it was faulty lesson learned kids do the research on products I wasn’t as smart back then when I bought that product t So I needed to still get this back up done so I saw Rocketek has a HD enclosure I had to give it shot since I was already had one of my SSD’s in their laptop enclosure Now while all enclosures are the same in a way of what they do it all comes down to price when it’s in the game on Amazon or NewEgg this enclosure here is very different in the sense of how the screws screw in which is located on the rather than the just two screws by the USB data port once the screws are out just slide out and remove the drive doesn’t matter which way you slide it in or out which is other reason why this unique I do suggest if you’re looking for a drive to first check out NewEgg and compare the prices
The enclosure comes with USB 3.0 cable,USB power cable, screwdriver, 8 screws I thought it was very nice of them to include the screwdriver since most companies lack to include this The Enclosure is made using a molded high quality and durable aluminium steel alloy which makes it a modern and aesthetically pleasing design
I used this product for a few weeks and still use it for my backup to my macbook and I have to say I like it but I would say any enclosure does the same task so as I said before it just depends on what design you want in enclosure and where you want to buy it there’s no drivers since the power is in the Hard Drive
Conclusion:
So yes Rocketek 3.5 inch USB 3.0 HDD Enclosure is an inexpensive product, but is it even worth it? I would say yes but I would also recommend you search around and look at other enclosures to compare what you really want
So in all it’s not bad for an enclosure if you want to make SSD as an external hard drive to store family images or as a backup for your YouTube channel
The final score averages out to be a 10 out of 10,
