The Review:

The packaging, is a box which advertises the Apogee MIC PureDIGITAL Recording Technology  with a sticker that a lighting cable included there is also some specs on the sides of the box

The MIC does have five identifying marks on them the Apogee logo, a spot that tells you where the gain is located, a spot for the desired output on the bottom, a spot where you can screw in a hot shoe adaptor (included) I was taken by surprised when I opened the box and saw that the mic was very small it’s another reason you shouldn’t judge a product by its pictures on the website as stated here in the actual product link The MIC is made of an all metal construction so you know there is no cheep plastic material in the making of this mic … The MIC indeed lives up to being portable  in my opinion…

The MIC comes with a fair amount of accessories to help you get started like a 30 pin cable for connection to iPad and iPhone along with a lighting cable to adapt to the new iOS devices you also get a cable for connecting to your Mac or PC to use the MIC as a desktop mic to make some of the best voiceovers videos compared to using the built in

Like I said in the video below this mic can be mounted using just a standard camera mount screw found on most tripods which makes it easy to set up a stand from mini tripods to tripods like the iPole

Sound Quality: When I compared this to my past Snowball mic I have used for a while the sound is a huge improvement I have to say I didn’t think I would be a believer in this MIC at first but after recording a good five voice over reviews for my App and NH Tech channel  One of the reviews which I posted seemed to show the viewers really liked the quality of the audio the views took a good jump in just a week for this video normally it would take a bit longer for it to grow. The company I did the review for also was impressed by the sound of the MIC in the review Since I wanted viewers to noticed this change on their own I was very tight-lipped about saying which Mic or audio device I got

Conclusion: So yes the MIC might be expensive for most budgets, but is it even worth it? YES! If you care about what your audio sounds like and want to sound professional and have a mic be portable for use with all your devices one thing I suggest is make sure you buy the MIC Case to keep your new fancy toy in good condition its the only accessory that doesn’t come with the MIC that you will need  The final score averages out to be a 10 out of 10, which I hunted for hours to find a problem with the MIC and I couldn’t find one

PROS CONS
+Portable and able to take with you+ Well made+Audio sounds great + None
